This tip leverages the power of Power Automate to create a personalised reminder system right within Teams. Instead of relying on your memory or cluttering your chat with pinned messages, you can set custom reminders for any message, at any time. It’s like having a personal assistant that nudges you exactly when you need it, ensuring you never miss a beat in your communications.
How to Do It:
1. Find the message you want to follow up on and click the three dots next to it.
2. Click “More Actions” and then “Create New Action”.
3. In the box that appears, click “More Workflows” at the bottom.
4. In the search bar, type ‘Follow Up’. You’ll see a template provided by Microsoft.
5. Click on the template and name your flow (e.g., “My Chat Reminders”).
6. Click the “Create Flow” button in the lower right corner.
Now that you’ve set up your flow, you’re ready to start using it:
1. Click on any message and then the three dots next to it.
2. Click “More Actions” and select “My Chat Reminders” (or whatever you named your flow).
3. A form will appear where you can select the date and time for your reminder and add any additional notes.
4. When the reminder time comes, you’ll receive an alert in your Teams Activity Feed.
